VMware client for Windows 7

Recently the VMware client has been released for Windows 7.

This version provides support for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 and R2 64-bit Windows 2008 as guest operating system platforms. In addition, the client now supports vSphere and can be installed on a Windows 7 installation. The free VMware player can be downloaded here.

Before the VMware client was available for Windows 7 there used to be an error that users would receive upon trying to use the VMware client: 
Error parsing the server "<servername>" "clients.xml" file.
This error will show up in the versions before VMware vSphere 4.0 Update 1. Upgrading or installing VMware vSphere 4.0 Update 1 fixes this problem.
